Hi all,
have a good new year.
Some day before Christmas Andy Wos and me have talked and evaluated
the possibility of give to xMate a new impulse, collaborating about
this product in a trusted group of developers.
I'm convinced, in effect, that the lack of new releases of this
product is a consequence of the superwork that Andy is doing about
the xMateSE development and if the users of the group could work on
some strategic piece of source (i.e. the editor, the formatter, the
form generator, etc.) some interesting enhancement could be done. I
suspect, in addition, that xMate could be used not only as project
builder and editor/formatter for the source code, but also as tool
for developing a customizable environment for personal software
development (i.e. integrating the hwGUI designer, or others resource
compilers).
Andy was quite in accord with this assumption but need have an idea
about who is very interested to this project, because the xMate group
is'nt very active in the last months and only if the number of
collaborators will be sufficient Andy will think to release on
SourceForge or a similar group the source of xMate.
Thus i ask you to signal to Andy posting on this group about an
interest about this idea replicating to this message.
