This is a training site so I don't think it is all that relevant for a
commercial comparison. In any event, yes, it took 6.5 sec to load here
on my ADSL1 connection. It took 5 secs to load on my client's ADSL2
connection.

This took 6 secs to load here and 4 to load on ADSL2.
So what? Almost all the sites I google for take that long. Many real
estate sites I look up take longer. Most of the MS, IBM and Oracle
developer sites take longer. The gamers sites my kids go to from home
take longer. The two university sites my daughters use take way, way
longer. From what I see, 6-8 seconds is quite normal.

Don't like your math. 8 / 1.5 < 6 but whatever. Let's be frank here. A
VO site is cheap and nasty and has absolutely none of the smarts
possible with a Sharepoint site. You can also do 10 times in half the
development time.
