Python Script Execution in Makefile

by merlin.1102@[EMAIL PROTECTED] Mar 4, 2008 at 04:52 PM

Hey

I have only had to use make files for basic things before. At the
moment I have two systems I am working with. One has a python script
that updates a large number of static text files. The other is
actually a program generator that generates code based off these
files. I have a bash script to work around the issue right now, but is
there anyway in a Makefile that I can force a python script to run
before actually compiling? Any script for that matter. I have found
little do***entation on this/don't know where to look.

Sorry if its a terribly easy question, even a link in the right
direction would help.
Thanks
