This one is unspecified behaviour (you're comparing an uninitialised
variable (j) to 1). If j has any value other than 1, then i will be
assigned 0 (false). If j is 1, then i will be 1.

This one assigns the value 1 to both i and j.

It could just as well be 0 19273. It just so happens that j was
initialised to 0.
