I tried this, but no joy. To be precise, I go to Edit>File Types...; then
I can
either change the one extant text definition (which in my project was
initially
R*ch and TEXT; i.e. A BBedit file) and/or add other definitions. I did
both,
with no detectable effect. The only effect in behaviour I can produce is
when I
change the creator code of the app, as it will then demand a different
creator
code for the TEXT file. I didn't try all conceivable permutations, but a
creator
code of ???? for the app doesn't seem to allow any kind of file to be
dropped
onto it. Same result for an empty creator code
