Swordfish is still on REALbasic's plate, but placed further behind on
the backburner, due to other higher priorities. Swordfish's long
delay has caused it to need updated requirements, such as creating Web
2.0 apps instead of the only Web 1.0 apps as previously envisioned.
So no, it's not officially dead. However, whether it graduates out of
the ranks of va****ware is still questionable.
If it's just CGI creation you want, you theoretically can do that now
(with the Pro version), although I have never seen a sample project
that actrually did that. (Maybe it's buried somewhere in the
examples.)
