I assume as VB programmer you know enough to be able to read Matt
Neuburg's RealBasic Definitive Guide. It is by far the most
comprehensive of the lot. I found it indispensible once I understood
what Matt was writing about (I basically learned OOP with it and RB).
Lots of detail and working through some of the more arcane nooks &
crannies of RB. Also exposes a good number of bugs (undo***ented
features) But it was a tough beginning... mainly because he works with
snippets of code rather than complete examples & his expose of RB's
object model is a bit lengthy & (for my taste) sometimes a bit
convoluted. Ultimately however, I found wisdom & truth in most of what
he has written in TDG.

The others I know & have are Eric Tejkowski's RB for Dummies and another
one I think by PeachPit Press. Both of these are quite basic, & at least
Tejkowski's doesn't even cover menues, IIRC. They did help me initially,
though, to get going.
