Wow.  You have certainly done a lot more research on this issue than I 
ever did.  Thanks for all of your help to show that my original claim 
was, and is, correct.

I can certainly understand your outrage (after all, nobody could be in a 
better position to understand that than me) but I really wish you had 
avoided posting that editorial comment about Bob Zale in your last 
paragraph.  Again, I understand completely why you said that, but 
sometimes it's better to simply state the facts and allow the reader to 
form his own conclusions.  If nothing else, your wording has now provided 
Mr. Zale with a basis to claim that YOU are using abusive language.  That 
can be used distract attention from the rest of your message and forms a 
base from which your statements can be attacked without addressing the 
actual substance of your post.

Again, thank you very much for all of the research and obvious work that 
you put into finding the references that you cite in your message.  I 
confess that I was surprised at Mr. Zale's demand-for-proof when I posted 
my original message on the web forum.  I had assumed that "real soon now 
for Linux" was common knowledge among folks who follow PowerBASIC 
development and am still surprised by the denials from people who should 
be in a position to know better.

I appreciate all of the work you have done to find the citations in your 
message, but I really do wish you had left it there.  People may agree or 
disagree with your characterization of Mr. Zale as they see fit, 
hopefully based on the facts and you have certainly done an excellent job 
of finding and presenting those facts.  As for my own opinion, I prefer 
to simply leave the facts to speak for themselves.

I am, though, still waiting for Bob and Tim to apologize for the baseless 
accusations of email flooding, abusive language, and even an accusation 
of having been suspended from a service that I have never even signed up 
for.  I am also waiting for them to correct the erroneous impression that 
they have left on their web forum (assuming that it hasn't been deleted) 
that I was telling something less than the truth when I said PowerBASIC/
Linux has been coming "real soon now".  That is a correct and accurate 
statement.  At the time I made the initial statement I really didn't 
think it was a big deal and I am still surprised by the hostile reception 
that I got when I made it.

Thank you again for your help and the research you did to find the real 
facts and post them here for all to read.
