What's up with PowerBasic? Any New?

by CS <wyattcs@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Feb 3, 2007 at 02:24 AM

I tried to join the PB forums, but there isn't much activity there and I
waited three days without obtaining post privs.

Is anything ever going to happen to breathe some life into PB? I have
experimented with FreePascal for a while and REALbasic for a couple of
years, but I really do miss PB's simplicity for some tasks.

I did notice some silly anti-Mac rants on the PB forums, and as a
switcher I haven't had much to complain about in five years. Yes, I miss
PowerBASIC, but everything else I use or could want to use is there
thanks to the BSD underpinnings of OS X.

It has been years since PB was supposed to appear for Linux/Unix on x86
hardware. What happened???

Oh, well... I run a little DOS session via Parallels and life is good
for recalling the good old days with PB 3.x
