There's the, since 4 years abandoned, but still goo, AllAPI poject,
actually for VB, but still interesting. See <http://allapi.net>,
the
API-Guide is a good helper tool.

Also, the canonical reference is the MSDN network on Microsoft's
website. It's for C, but very thorough.
