You call that small?  BBC BASIC for Windows' runtime binary is just
under 82K, and that includes sup****t for GUI programs (message pump
and handler) plus a full IA-32 assembler!  'Compiled' executables are
often less than 100K, which isn't bad considering BBC BASIC is (in
traditional terms) an interpreter and provides the EVAL function.
