I don't want to hurt your feelings, but the comparison
of FreeBASIC to Bas7 is an apples to oranges comparison.
Bas7 is created for a different purpose.
Yes, it can execute programs written in GW-BASIC and other
old BASIC dialects, but it's main purpose is:
Help to disentangle spaghetti code.

Maybe I should add more information about this purpose
to the Bas7 page:

Further down in the thread are examples of the logfile
produced by Bas7.
