It is my understanding that the current 32 bit PowerBASIC compilers
are written in PowerBASIC. I believe the first PowerBASIC compilers
that generated 32bit executables were written in 16bit assembly, which
is why the source file names had to be 8.3 format. But apparently the
current compilers are themselves 32bit programs written in PowerBASIC.
