I've used a couple where they're just labels, which happen to be numeric 
characters, rather than actually being numbers.  In these cases, the 
ordering was completely irrelevant and could even be omitted on any line 
which wasn't a target (goto, gosub, read) of something else.

I recall this vaguely.  I think it set the base coordinates of the screen.

It declared what they were for a corner (lower left?) of the screen. 
Worked 
like OPTION BASE but for the screen.
