Heh heh, a lot of stuff doesn't work on "Hosta La Vista" ;-)
I also seem to recall there was some sort of "compatibility mode" options
that you might be able to adjust for the DOS window. Did you explore
those properties all?
You might be able to run GW-Basic using the Wine project under Linux. I
haven't tried Wine in a number of years, but given that it is still under
active development you might have favourable results.
But you may have quite a bit of hassle getting Wine and all necessary MS
components installed, unless things have changed considerably. I believe
you'll need to supply some MS DLLs to work along side with Wine (perhaps
Win98 ones).
