In North America, the BBC's name is associated with "quality" TV 
programming, rather better than is usually found on the local networks. 
This is actually a rather mistaken impression. Organizations such as 
PBS select the best BBC programs they can obtain and show them, 
ignoring the Beeb's less-desirable products. However, the association 
with quality can't do your BASIC any harm. Stick with the name!
