My first job as an operator was for a junior college on a 360/30 that 
had a field upgrade to 96kb to run CICS, but only during registration. 
Nothing else could be done with it up. We also ran POWER but only for 
student labs. Everything else was straight DOS with a few systems that 
still ran under 1400 emulation. All (new) production apps were written 
in assembler.
