Maybe you could try googling Demoscene. You should be able to find
some quite small programs, just a few hundred bytes, that have source
code (not necessarily NASM). Although small, they can be impressive,
well IMO anyway. Just off the top of my head is this one, FakeDemo
which comes with commented source code but maybe a little on the large
size,
