The problem is that we can't believe the excuses that people give for
not wanting to use it.  In ancient times, the primary reason was
supposed to be the dreaded WS FULL.  Then it was the difficulty of
printing the APL characters.  Then it was the lack of interoperability
with other languages.  Etc., etc.   Today none of these conditions is
relevant.  So today it's supposed to be because other people don't use
APL.

I don't think it's any of these things.   I think it's just another
form of math anxiety that people don't want to admit to.  They're
afraid they will fail.
