It is just like people wanted Dos even if better operating systems
were around.
Now that Vista is trying to fix many of the Windows issues like it is
harder for programmers to change the system then many programmers are
screaming for the older version to continue with all their faults.
I understand there are still more versions of Dos than any other
operating system.
Maybe APL is/was considered to strict?
The user was/is basically protected from simple mistakes.
Many APL dialects have recently opened up to the surroundings like
calling outside programs.
