Curtis,
Thanks a lot for the suggestion, but I was only able to find a time 
limited version of APL2, for Windows only, on IBM's site. It's 
wonderfully complete, that's true, but ... perhaps I missed the link to 
its not crippled, multi-platform open version :-) ?

I'll keep watching, maybe I'm terribly wrong (or I didn't find the right 
link to the software ..... quite possible :-) ).
