I've got my copy here:
Personally Developed Software for IBM Personal Computers, STATLIB 1,
Jack Prins 6276464
First Edition (August 1984) ... Copyright International Business
Machines Corporation 1984.
My date stamped on the book is 20 Nov 1988.
The STATLIB 2 book must have similar information for the rest of the
workspaces.
STATLIB 1 has workspaces STAT0 to STAT12 "distributed on three two-
sided diskettes. ... All workspaces have extension of APL, and STAT0
appears also in the transfer format (extension AIO). STATAIO is in
the transfer format."
The .apl workspaces in the Personally Developed Software package are
in APL/PC Version 1 format. One would have to )LOAD them into APL/PC
Version 1, then )OUT to a transfer format file that, with minor
modification to an IN function in Workstation APL2, can be used in
APL2.
But, sad to say, it's been years since anyone could buy this useful
statistics library. It was also in the IBM internal public APL
libraries on mainframes - probably the route through which you got
yours, Gilbert.
Once upon a time one could also buy AGSS (more or less APL Graphical
Statistical System) as "AS IS" software. It was known inside IBM as
GRAFSTAT.
