Re: Job Watch UK: Actual programming langwidge

In my awareness there is no such thing as an "actuarial programming
language".
However there is a book by De Kerff, Goovaerts & Stiers "APL the language
and
its actuarial applications", in which they allusively toy with the
nickname
"APL - Actuarial Programming Language".
Also in 70ties in some actuarial circles there was a proposal for
introducing
acronyms for actuarial symbols, never took off really, I guess.

For the time being re this ad you might be sure they mean APL A
Programming
Language by Kenneth E. Iverson (as we know it in c.l.a.).

But if it is otherwise, I'd really like to know asap.
