Welcome Ross,
I'm away from away from home for awhile, so can't reference my
bookshelf. But I do remember "APL An Interactive Approach" by Gilman and
Rose. A good introductory book, with practice problems. It is a bit
dated so only refers to the original APL (i.e. flat APL; no nested
arrays) and not APL2.
You might let us know what books you have already ordered. The regulars
here will no doubt offer helpful suggestions.
