So if it is not the computer language what is a software problem?

I find this interesting because this should be a simple routing
question.
The luggage is tagged and then it is sent with conveyor belts.
What in the world could go wrong?
There are a number of such systems all over the world.
What could go wrong in the software?
Luggage A comes to a junction and should continue go left or right.
So instead of picking the correct one of these three choices the
computer got confused.
And not just one luggage but a lot of them.
Was this only one computer or several?
