The new GPS interface requires GPS 4.2, which made it non-functional
with the version of GPS distributed with Gnat/GPL2007.
I made a new release available (tagged 1.8r8) that provides the old
interface for those who have not upgraded their GPS.
There is no change in AdaControl itself.
