If you mean "if(e1 || (e2 || (e3 || (e4 ....))))" the no it isn't
equivalent, precisely because the limit below doesn't talk about the
original.  Otherwise you might just as well say at a + b is
equivalent to ((((((a))))) + (((((b)))))).  Just look at the grammar:
identifier in primary-expression in ... in additive-expression.
