80 bit reals in CW for x86

by miken@[EMAIL PROTECTED] May 30, 2005 at 09:14 AM

Hi there. I have been using CW 4 for Windows for a number of years. I
recently discovered that the "long double" type was only 64 bits in CW
4. By searching the docs at codewarrior.com, I discovered that 80 bit
floating point is supported in the latest version with the
ten_byte_long_double pragma.

So I have these questions:

1. What was the first version of CW to support 80 bit reals?

2. Are there any issues/bugs with the 80 bit support?

3. Since Metrowerks has discontinued CW for Windows support, where can
I get a copy? Is it possible to purchase from Nokia/Symbian?

Thanks for your help.
