I believe that there is a problem with Codewarrior 8 not recognizing
Java 1.4.2 SDKs installed on the system. I tried using the 1.4.2_01
version of the SDK (yes, I double checked that it was indeed the SDK
and not the JRE installed), and Codewarrior ended up saying that it
could not find any JDK/SDK higher than 1.1.8 on the system.
So I set it back to 1.4.1_05, and it immediately started working
again. Doesn't seem to be the filename thing, as was pointed out as a
possible cause in the earlier post about this, since the directory
name lengths are exactly the same. There is definitely some problem in
Codewarrior v8 detecting the presence of a Java SDK 1.4.2 on the
system.
I'm hoping that there's some way to fix this, because I bought CW8 for
use while on campus here, and my class uses 1.4.2 of the SDK for its
work, and I'd prefer to be able to use that as well if possible,
without doing something like paying to get a whole new version,
considering I bought this just one day ago.
