Generally, most mail applications do not ex****t their data. Rather,
other applications im****t that data. The mail can be im****ted into
Outlook Express, or Netscape 7.2.
A sample scenario might be, install Netscape 7.2 on the old machine.
Use its Profile Manager to convert the NC 4.04 profile for NS 7.2 use.
Then install NS 7.2 on a new machine, and follow the following procedure
to transfer the profile:

I am sure you could im****t the mail into OE and transfer it, but I do
not know how that would be done. The mail is saved in files with .dbx
extensions, and I think you could save those files, transfer them to the
new machine, then use OE to im****t them.
If this is a small number of old messages that actually need to be
saved, it might actually be easier simply to forward them to yourself.
