Done.

I created one account - an AOL account using IMAP.  Then before doing
anything else, I tried to connect to see if it would work while the
setup was still "clean".

"Failed to connect to server imap.mail.aol.com  [OK]"

So... it's probably not profile corruption.  Any other thoughts?
