OK. I am almost now convinced this is a problem with the Netscape
software, on their server. I changed my home opening address to a
non-netscape one, and it did not stall. Any time I tried to access any
Netscape screen from Communicator after that, caused a hang-up.
My personal fix for this is not to use my Netscape 4.79 for anything
except emails and bookmarks avoiding any contact with the Netscape
Communicator host. I will do all my web surfing in 7.1 and limited emails
there, as well. This is not really a total fix, but at least I my 4.79 is
partially
working for me.
