Several versions of a native Flash 7 player for OS/2 exist, so you may
be able to use sites like YouTube under either OS/2 or eCS.

I'm not sure, since this OS/2 box (a Pro/200) does not have the raw CPU
power to view that category of flash data. :-) But I do use Flash 7
under Firefox 1.5.0.11 on this box on other sites just fine (for menus
and basic animations, but not full-motion video).

>So- I see mention of os2, ecomstation, & BEOS. Any other alternatives?

Well, free versions of Solaris, Free/Open/NetBSD, and other UNIX-alike
and/or UNIX deriviatives exist, but those will have many of the same
idiosyncrasies that you find in Linux.

I find myself partial to smaller Linux "LiveCD" distros like Puppy or
DSL (DamnSmallLinux), mainly because they run on my older hardware and
are not so bogged down with unwanted eyecandy.
