***   It is possible if you start individual instances of the command
interpreter. Each will give a command prompt independent of the others.

   However, if you do it in non-multitasking or non task-switching mode,
you will not be able to access one without closing the other, and you may 
also have memory problems depending on your DOS manufacturer and version.
