I was addressing that issue, not how to write a TSR.
However, Alex contribution brings back some memories..
Now CP/M was very much prior to Bill Gates and IBM's search for an
operating systems for the 8080 and 8086 chips they wanted to use in the
PC and later AT.
So if the claimof interst to KJ is based on the use of MASM-assembled
routines, that claim is very dubious. I was a buyer for Shell of
computers of all sizes and implemented many.stange "smaller" computers
and "minicomputers" and early devices for voice recognition and machine
vision and refinery control purposes. The TSR CONCEPT, not with that
name of course, was just a familiar method to aid time-slicing and
background task usage during keyboard idle time, in any computer with
an interrupt structure. I remember having to WALK INTO computers in the
50's to change some tubes to fix them for a run....
