If you are using ODBC then there is no "standard" or Native driver, its 
an ODBC connection and it works fine through 10.G

BDE from D5 can access anything up to the current version of oracle, 
10.G using the NATIVE driver, not ODBC.  Just make sure that you set the 
vendor init driver to OCIW32.DLL & DLL32 driver to SQLORA8.DLL in the 
configuration tab of the BDE administrator.
