THE CLASSIC BASIC GAMES SITE HAS MOVED
                          TO ITS OWN DOMAIN!
                     *****************************

                    http://www.classicbasicgames.org

The Classic Basic site was specifically created to collect and preserve
old, text only Basic programs of the kind that existed in the 1970s and
1960s, back to 1964, the origination of basic.

Why text only ?

Prior to the end of the 1970s, graphical computers were not common, and
even "PC"s, then called "home computers" worked in text mode only.

Although graphics is a pretty cool addition to computing, it has meant
the end of cross computer compatibility. The older text mode games ran
pretty much everywhere, and were passed from machine type to machine
type with little modification. In fact, many of the Classic Basic games
originated on Minicomputers before the microcomputer came into existance.

For those who remember those days, you might be able to find your favorite
old program there. If not, there are others.

To this day, these are still some of the most ****table programs for
Basic you can find. See you there !
