They do***ented that they did it, or just did it? I can see the original
BBC
BASIC doing that, if the BASIC it was modeling did it (Richard said it was
Microsoft BASIC 5.0). But I can't see why anyone would create a new
BASIC specification to do that on purpose.

I'm pretty much of a packrat, in that I rarely dispose of old manuals and
programs (I keep it all neatly organized, there aren't random piles of
stuff).
But I believe I did junk all my old pre-MS-DOS stuff sometime in the 90's,
except for my CP/M manuals and some old programming magazines back
to the 70's. I have all the old "Kilobaud" issues. Times like this make me
wish I had/could have kept it all. :-)
