Run BASIC News

by "carlg@[EMAIL PROTECTED] " <carlg@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jul 7, 2007 at 09:35 AM

Run BASIC development is coming along nicely. The latest feature we
have added is database integration via SQLite 3 (http://
www.sqlite.org), and this lays the groundwork for integration also
with Oracle, SQL Server, MySql, etc. For an example of source code
check out the posts at
http://libertybasic.conforums.com/index.cgi?board=runbasic

An additional feature is a new httpget$() function which will retrieve
the contents of a web page, an RSS feed, or other HTTP document. We
are also planning to include an XML parser.

Finally, we are planning to begin beta testing Run BASIC this month
and hope to do a v1.0 release by the end of August.
