Well, scratch XBLite then. I see that XBasic is now on sourceforge.net 
but apparently the project has stagnated for a couple of years...which 
is too bad. I haven't used it myself, but it looks really good.

And there are perhaps other possibilities, too. RealBasic is commercial 
and sup****ts Windows and Macintosh, but they are adding Linux sup****t 
(probably a separate product I think).
