In the days of DOS viruses, becuse most early viruses installed
themselves on the boot track, I learned to copy a pristine sector 0
track (actually with the early Norton tools), and whenever I wanted to
recover a diskette for someone I would write back that track zero. I
think that qualifies as how to make a bootable disk. I was once very
keen on discovering and re****ting viruses, but it became a deluge.
