While I'm busy with revision and update of all my code
I encountered this open question.
At the moment I sup****t only a few RTCL display formats,
three as 3*8 character fields:
1) 2) 3)
11:59:59 23:59:59 23:59:59
Fr.31.pm Fr.31. Friday
Jan.1999 Jan 1999 31.12.99
and three 2*8 fields:
4) 5) 6)
11:59:59 23:59:59 23:59:59
31.12.pm Fr.31.12 31.12.99
6) is used horizontally for file date/time view as well.
I haven't heared any claim from my clients yet, because
they reside all near enough to me (at.de.it.ch.hu)
so they use almost only 2)3)5) and 6), 1) and 4) are
rare to never used there.
But if I like to expand my business to other countries
I migth need additional/different formats.
All suggestions are welcome, but I like to keep the eight
characters per line and I reserved maximal 8 variants for
each, two and three line formats.
Are US-citizens meanwhile aware of hours>12 ? :)
