Index is part of the object/class.

This time it doesn't crash at index := 0; immediatly but later on after a 
number of calls.

I suspect something fishy is going on with esp, since the code does manual

calculations for that...

Still kinda strange that it's working in debug but not in optimizations.

Well I don't have time to investigate now... maybe later I can 
investigate... but I can't do everything myself.

I am hoping somebody will look a little bit at the asm and immediatly spot

the problem.

If it really is a complex problem like byte alignment or even worse a 
compiler problem then I am pretty much screwed.

I also wrote to the mailing list of crypt++ maybe they can help.
