Times visitors will recall TorC, N.M., Herald reporter Patch Rose is the
writer behind Neva Wright, that satirical purveyor of all things right
wing, but now "PR," as he's known in newsroom circles, has a new
mission: sharing with the world at large his take-no-prisoners battle
with the "Big 'C'.
In the first installment on his newly-minted website, this happily
married man chronicles his pressing affair with a life-giving, energy
sapping seductress named "Velma."
It's an account both terrifying and erotic in a robotic kind of way, but
most of all, it's a testament to the relentlessness of the human spirit
in the face of the most trying circumstances.
