I have designed and publish a website on:

In that site I have a link named "Lesson-1" which is linked to a file
named
"Lesson1.eml". (The extension is eml). Since this file isn't an HTML file
I
expect IE not to show its content in the explorer page and only start
downloading the file when I click on the link. But when I click on that
link, I only see the context of that eml file in IE window, and no
downloads
start. Even if I r-click the link and select "Save target as", the file is
downloaded and saved to my HDD with the name of "Lesson-1.htm".
This is my question:
I want the file to be downloaded with eml extension, not htm extension.
How
can I do this? Why does IE change my file extension?
Any help is highly appreciated.
