Nick,
I am not familiar with that specific program, but this is a common way 
of reminding a 'freebie user' that they have already gotten more than 
they have paid for ... and could have the rest if they were to reach 
into their pockets. In other words, that feature is probably activated 
by registering the software. No money, no honey.

If you otherwise think the software is a good product, 'pay the man the 
$5'. Otherwise, deal with the issue by downloading an FTP client. And 
ask yourself why you bother using software that isn't good enough to pay 
for. Or continue to use software that is worth paying for without 
actually paying for it.

I have both paid for my editor (CuteHTML Pro) AND acquired a dedicated 
FTP client because I prefer to use a full-featured FTP client over a 
'okay, we're done editing this page, let's shoot it over to the website' 
built in FTP client.
