try emptying your cache and cookies.  Does the problem 
continue?

Forget about uninstalling and reinstalling.  The problem 
isn't with the program but with the profile.  All your data, 
bookmarks, passwords, etc, are stored in an area called the 
FF profile.  If you have any problems, then this is the 
first place to look.
