I could not find a technical review on that book, but be warned that
Herbert Schildt does not have a good reputation. Although his books are
easy to read, they often contain subtle (or even blatant) errors.

As an indication, Schildt has written "The Annotated C Standard", which
contains an integral copy of the C89 standard and annotations by
Schildt. This book costs about 30 USD.
A hardcopy of the standard itself costs in the region of 150 USD. It is
said that the price difference between the actual standard and "The
Annotated C Standard" is a good indication of the added value of the
annotations.
(I may be off with the actual prices, but the standard is definitely
much more expensive than the Schildt book.)
