Well, as you may have gathered, for C++ advice (including decent reference

sites), you'd be better off asking the C++ fans amongst us. Although I 
like C++, I don't like it as much as I like C. My experience of 
cplusplus.com has been as a *C* reference site (for which purpose it is 
often recommended, although heaven knows why). Maybe it fares better as a 
C++ site. I don't know.

Perhaps one of the more C++y people will give you a better answer.
